Abstract
"Five new species are added to the North American Apiocera fauna bringing the total to 69 taxa, 63 species, and six subspecies. Revised keys to the species are presented as are descriptions of several previously unknown females, i.e., augur, alleni, exta, and voragocolis. The status of Osten Sacken's Mexican augur is clarified, more definite locations for exta are made known, and the distribution of voragocolis is extended out of the gorge of the Grand Canyon. The new species are: Apiocera mulegeae, warneri, varia, constricta, and lavignei"--P. [1].
