The presence of a small but distinct apical segment on the anterior spinnerets suggests that gallieniellids are relatively plesiomorphic gnaphosoids. Two genera are recognized. Gallieniella includes the type species G. mygaloides Millot and the new species G. blanci and G. betroka, all from Madagascar, and the new species G. jocquei from the Comoro Islands. The new genus Legendrena includes four new species (L. angavokely, L. perinet, L. tamatave, and L. rolandi) from Madagascar"--P.
