The genera Notophus and Solenopus are retained as synonyms of Odontoderes, and Callinotus is added to the synonymy. Callinotus discoideus Chevrolat is transferred provisionally to Cholus. Three species are synonymized: Cholus quadripunctatus Hustache, Solenopus bondari Hustache, and Solenopus percheroni Boheman. All species are found in South America, chiefly in French Guiana and Brazil; three species are recorded for the first time from Peru. Seven new species are described: albior, brevis, capetos, costalis, insculptus, scolius, and tumoris.
