Abstract
"The New World genera Mesocordylus and Orthognathus are revised. Keys are given to the species of these two genera and to the genera of the tribe Sipalini. Following a diagnosis and detailed description of each species, the sexual dimorphism, distribution, ecology, and synonymy are discussed. A checklist of the species is given. Ten new species of Mesocordylus and one of Orthognathus are described from the Antilles, Mexico, Central and South America. Three indeterminate species are discussed following the accounts of Mesocordylus. The approximately 700 specimens examined and the collection to which they belong are listed"--P. 76.
