Description

The agreement was made on Dec. 22, 1877. Document signed by James F. Wenman (President of the Department of Public Parks), William Irwin (Secretary of Department of Public Parks) and Robert L. Stuart (President of the American Museum of Natural History), and dated Feb. 12, 1877 [i.e. 1878]. Last paragraph, "recorded in the Office of the Register of the City and County of New York," is dated Feb. 16, 1878.
